San Carlos de Bariloche is famous for producing the purest most handcrafted chocolates in the country. At Easter a chocolate festival is organised at the Civic Center. The first issues of the Chocolate Festival turned out to be amazing, presenting brilliant ideas that will grow up in the years to come. Its celebration is related to the recovery of the city after the ashes from the Puyehue Volcano left their track. An Easter egg will be made by famous chocolatiers, measuring almost 8 meters high and a diameter of 5 meter. You can observe this work of art, but also you can taste it!!
Skiing in the Andes.
With the first snowfall in winter, the beginning of the ski season is announced. Mount Catedral, or Cerro Catedral, is considered as one of the main ski areas of Argentina and is only 20 kilometers from Bariloche. It is a very popular destination for all snow, ski and snowboard enthusiasts. The snow conditions are extremely good and at the end of the season the snow can be up to three meters!
